How long have you been away now? are you home sick at all? What do you miss?

I have been away almost 14 months. This is the longest I have been away from home. I miss my family and friends a lot but have also made a nice group of friends here. I really miss sausage rolls and mums home cooked roast!

 

Any plans at this stage to come home for a visit? What would be the first thing you would do other than see your family?

At this stage no  plans to come home this year unless some work comes up. I have been in talks with my agent about a possible contract and hopefully that comes through which would bring me home for a couple of months. 

The first thing I would do is head to Bondi!

 

 

What is some inside knowledge that you have learnt about LA that you would like to share with any budding traveler?

1. You need a car!

2. Buy your makeup here it’s a quarter of the price.

3. Stay in West Hollywood or Venice.

4.Use www.kayak.com for cheap internal flights.

5. There's an airport called Burbank you can fly out of... So much closer and easier.

What couldn’t you survive without currently?

Skype and the fact that my brother comes to visit me once a year. I feel like I could survive without having anything else but family means a lot to me.

 

Have you spotted and celebrities out and about? Who were they and what were they doing?

You see them all the time here. Britney spears is from the area where I live so I’ve seen her at the local cinema. Had a nice conversation with Colin Farrel at the Rosevelt.  Also seen Tim Allen having lunch in Beverly Hills. 

 

Shooting the Beer ad and working with Steven Segal what was it like?

It was my first job over here so it was interesting to see how things work on set and how they differ to Australia. Steven Segal was a nice guy, kind of big and scary but nice. We all worked well together and really made the best of it. 

 

We know you love sport, have you done or seen much while in LA?

Yes yes yes! Went to a Lakers playoff game last year. Been to a few dodger games (Don’t eat the dodger dog) and I play tennis 3 times a week and I’m in a Dodgeball team. We won our division last year which was cool but lost in Regionals. Also surfing often down in Malibu now the weather has warmed up.
